About Me

My photo
Once upon a time, there lived a little girl. More than anything in the whole wide world, this little girl wanted to be loved. She searched many, many foreign places for love. She kissed many toads for love. She loved and she loved and she loved. The more she loved, the harder it became. Her tiny little heart was fading. Layers and layers of molten skin were binding her. Finally, the little girl exploded. She began lashing out at everything and everyone in sight. Bolts of lightning were striking all she touched and did not touch. She began to spin out of control. As she spun, rings and rings were spinning off of her painting the earth. Many colors began flying throughout the air. Suddenly, she was naked. She looked into the water and there, she found her love. Now, to find the prince…

Celebrate Beauty Within

24" x 36"
Acrylic with glitz on canvas

She lives in the center of the universe
She sings, dances, romances
inside your heart
She celebrates her beauty within
The inner child exists
Living in the moment!

Bricks & Glass

24" x 36"
Acrylics with glitz on canvas

Bricks & Glass

Bricks can destroy
and break the glass
Bricks can build
and renew the glass
Mind of perception
decides which is best
bricks rebuilt
the broken glass

Life Force Grows

The sun shines
beauty rising
forcing growth
leaving seeds
as the mind develops

Sparkles of life
spreading beauty
love growing
time showing

Breathing
hearts beating
dancing to the tune
LOVE
MAKING
Passion rising
Eyes seeing
Eyes believing
LOVE

Work In Progress 6-2-14

Another work in progress
it began in red
a story in the making
many, many stories arrived
between then and now
past memories
leading to the now
another work in progress

Born in mother nature's earth
quantum physics took hold
life spinning
life living
life loving
stories left untold

The painting shapes
from beneath the earth
rising up
to tell a tale
which oh so real

Another work in progress
as each day begins
this painting is not finished
still so much to say
It holds the images
the feelings of a daily life
leading to something
uncreative yet

But I can say
it will reveal
love, truth and beauty
because
that is how I live my day

Red

Red

On Mother's Day, my youngest son took me out to eat for steak and salad.  It was delicious!  Today, my daughter took us to our hairdresser.  So much fun!  The gray is covered.  Afterwards, I came home to paint.  I used an old painting, "frozen fog" from 2009 and painted my always first color "cadmium red deep hue".  I always begin my paintings with this.  It represents the center of the earth to me.  My next color will be "burnt umber" representing fresh earth.  I am painting over a period in my life that no longer serves me.  I lived it then, now it is gone.  As I create, I realize I only want to represent love.  An innocence I recently found.  The time before I am told who I am and who I should be.  The child inside me still exists.  The "who" I am before anyone tried to tell me "who I am".   So thrilled to begin another painting!

Fluidicity

Now we dance!
The fluids flow from above and below.
The sun rises and then it sets.
Now we dance to the music we create.
Life is beautiful as the love from within flows!
Fluidicity!

Truth

Love unrequited should hurt
And it did for years
Until the day
You realize it was never real

Celebration begins
When one releases
What was never there

Truth to love
Which never existed
